Planning The Radiator & Mounts

I designed the radiator to be as large as possible and also using the standard Fox Body Mustang hoses.
I made the radiator mounts before having the radiator custom made, the lower mounts use the bumper iron bolts as I am always trying not to make any new holes in the shell, the top brackets bolt out of sight under bonnet slam panel.

I made the radiator mounts before having the radiator custom made, the lower mounts use the bumper iron bolts as I am always trying not to make any new holes in the shell, the top brackets bolt out of sight under bonnet slam panel. These are both made from aluminium angle, the lower bracket has a triangle gusset welded to strength it.

Rubber Mounts

I would recommend rubber mounting as the rubber absorbs vibrations and helps prevent stress on the radiator itself, potentially extending its lifespan by minimizing damage from engine vibrations and impacts.
I used Radiator Mounting Rubbers from a Land Rover these are easy to obtain as fitted to 90 110 2.25, 2.5 Defender 200Tdi 300Tdi.

Electric Cooling Fans

I mounted two 10'' electric cooling fan on the front of the radiator which keeps the under bonnet looking simple and clean.

Max Airflow Through Rad

I also made some panels to fit either side of the radiator to make sure the air goes through the radiator and not around it.
