No Bonnet Stay

After removing the radiator panels to get the V8 under the bonnet there was nowhere for the bonnet stay to mount, so we needed to convert to bonnet gas struts.
There was one for sale but it used Mk2-3 tail gate struts, these are really too long and also have ugly welds, I was looking for shorter struts and a one piece folder bracket.

Stainless Bracket

I got my son to design it in cad and had them laser cut and folded, we were so pleased with the simple clean look that my son had some more made and sells them in his eBay store

Capri Bonnet Gas Struts Kit

They are really easy to fit needing only one hole drilled per side and he also supplies a template for this.
